Heading to the Pennsylvania State University, he completed a civil engineering degree and was first in his pledge class as Zeta number Z905 with the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.

Bob began his work career at PA Power & Light Company before going to Saudi Arabia with Chicago Bridge & Iron. He then moved to Albuquerque working for Public Service of NM and marrying the love of his life, Diane (1983). Attaining his Professional Engineering License, he traveled extensively for Lamson & Sessions (Vylon Pipe) living in Ft. Worth, Cleveland and Phoenix before settling in Germantown with the Choctaw Co. He transitioned to regional sales manager for several large diameter pipe companies: Contect, Amitech, Future Pipe, USCPS, and the Thompson Pipe Group.

Retiring in 2017, Bob focused on faith, family and fun. Bob is a 4th-degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He made his Cursillo weekend (#127), was an Altar Server and devoted member of the OLPH Fisher’s of Men. He hiked many of our state and national parks with Diane. Bob loved gardening but nothing was better than drowning a few worms and catching dinner. He was a lifetime member of the TWRA (TN Wildlife Resources Agency).

Bob is survived by his wife Diane Dolores (Kent) and his mother Catherine Jean (Bohus), both of Collierville, TN. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Joseph Capkovic (1989). Bob leaves behind many loving family members and life-long friends who will miss him greatly.
