Brothers, we are sad to announce the passing of Brother David Lee Lightner ’63 into Chapter Eternal. David was a professor emeritus of history at the University of Alberta.
The Lightner family connection to our house goes back more than a century, beginning with David’s uncle, Joseph K Lightner ’22, who played baseball and football. It continued with his father Donald W Lightner ’29, then with his three sons: Jeffrey K Lightner ’62, David L Lightner ’63, and Robert A Lightner ’69. Jeffrey and Robert survive.
