NIC Bolsters Health and Safety Standards Nationwide
Despite no-hazing policies and other rules and regulations in place, no campus is safe from the fraternity-related injuries, deaths, and other tragedies that have dominated the headlines in recent years. In response, the North-American Interfraternity Council made some major announcements in 2017 regarding the need for improved safety and health measures for fraternities nationwide and their plan to address said needs.
“Now more than ever, students, alumni, community members, national organizations, and university administrators must come together to create ownership and accountability toward measures for change,” Judson A. Horras, NIC president and CEO, wrote in a December letter. “We know critical issues that are deeply rooted in culture aren’t going to be solved with quick fixes. It is going to take intentional collaboration and comprehensive strategies.”
Remember your time at THON? We need your help!
Lambda Chi Alpha Zeta Zeta has been a participant in Penn State’s IFC/Panhanelic Dance Marathon since THON’s inception in 1973. Currently, LXA is partnered with Alpha Sigma Alpha in order to aid in fundraising efforts for pediatric cancer research and pediatric cancer patients/families.
Our goal this year is to maintain our high performance in the neighborhood of $220,000, but this is proving challenging. Can you help?

Brotherhood in a Single Frame

If you could capture brotherhood in a single photo, this would be it. This portrays a brotherhood that spans generations–connecting like-minded men young and old from all corners of the country who share and exemplify the ideals and values of Lambda Chi. While this picture was taken more than a decade ago (at our 2003 […]

As Lambdas, We Can Help to Enact Change

Your support this holiday season could do much more than make an impact for Lambda Chi–it could help save Greek life at Penn State and across the country.
THON is Almost Here!

We are rapidly approaching THON! The undergraduates have been working tirelessly to raise money for the philanthropy event this year, and to remain a top fundraiser as in years past. Philanthropy is a major part of our fraternity, whether it be through Watermelon Bust, THON, or any of our other efforts that benefit local and national charitable causes. We need your help to continue this long-standing tradition of being one of the top placing organizations at THON.
New High Zeta Elected
At the beginning of the month, our fraternity elected new High Zeta officers. The newly elected High Zeta reflects the chapter’s opinion on which brothers have demonstrated outstanding character and have held themselves to the highest standards in their academic and fraternity life. The team will face challenges pertaining to a rapidly evolving Greek environment at Penn State as well as the chapter’s transition back to the house. We feel that our leadership is poised to do great things for our chapter and be a continuation of our values and teachings.
Homecoming Reminder
Lambda Chi won’t be holding a formal Homecoming reception this year due to ongoing house renovations, but we welcome alumni to stop by the house at any time during Homecoming weekend. If you’ll be in town this weekend, leave a comment to share your plans with fellow brothers.
