When John Agnew ’65 was at Pennsylvania State, Lambda Chi Alpha was a well-rounded chapter.
“We were a supportive group of brothers,” John said. “We had friendly relations with neighboring fraternities, threw great house parties, and enjoyed dressy evening dinners.”
He recalled fond memories of various facets of chapter life. “One time, I accidentally patted ‘Mother G’ on the back,” he laughed.
“We used to play football on the ‘back forty.’ I enjoyed turning 21 and going to the Lions Den (legally).”
Brotherhood and ritual made John’s fraternity experience even more meaningful. “Our pledge class was extremely close,” he said, “and the initiation ceremony was unforgettable.”
